"I have been a student of Deva's for 4 years now and cannot imagine my life without my yoga practice. Since starting my practice with her I have become more calm, centered, compassionate and grounded. In my physical body I have increased stamina, better flexiblity, stonger muscles and improved posture. She is challenging yet realistic and her sense of humour and adventure keeps it fun!Thank you Deva for sharing your knowledge and radiance."

"I didn't know anything about this instructor. I only knew I didn't want to commit to something I wasn't going to like. So when I was told I could take a trial class, I figured I had nothing to lose. After that first class, I signed up for a double course.
I was startled by the diversity of the students. There were women, men, young, old, first-timers and seasoned yogis, and the whole thing flowed. The instructor is at ease within many disciplines, and passes that ease on to the students. The delivery is polished, the lessons are upbeat and lighthearted.
The whole thing is a whole lot of fun, but the important question is, what does it do? Well, I only know that I walk in feeling old, stiff and crotchety, and I leave feeling good. Not very scientific, but as far as I'm concerned, that's really the bottom line."

"No matter how tired i feel i never miss my yoga class because i come away with a new energy. I may be physically tired, but mentally calmed and invigorated. Deva never forces us beyond our limits...she accepts us at any age and with whatever physical limitations we have...she just asks that we do what our bodies will allow and to be accepting of our limitations. Yoga is a great feel-good mentally and physically/non-medicinal treatment. But it can be addicting...you want to continue because of how much better you feel!"

"...through my yoga practise with Deva, I have: found the strength to face difficult emotional issues; experienced an increase in my energy level; developed a greater consciousness of my world; and connected with my inner self, my inner peace...

"I feel so blessed that yoga has come into my life. It has helped me in so many realms: physical, emotional and spritual. Yoga has increased my strength, flexibilty; improved postural alignment. Emotionally, I have gained courage, compassion and greater tolerance of others, as well as accepting life's challenges. My greatest challenge is in curbing my passion/enthusiasm when speaking about the benefits of yoga to others! I certainly recommend it to friends and clients who are struggling in areas of their life, because of it's far-reaching benefits!

"I began attending Deva’s yoga classes at the School House in South Slocan after Christmas. I was referred by a colleague in Castlegar who let me know Deva created a warm and inviting environment for yoga. I am relatively new to the practice of yoga, being drawn to it for exercise and stress management.
Not long after I began attending Deva’s classes, I slipped on the ice and suffered a concussion. By attending yoga/meditation classes and receiving acupuncture, I am feeling MUCH better. After my concussion, my body slipped easily into the fight or flight response; by focusing and attending to the breathe enabled me to become grounded once more. I thoroughly enjoy the classes!"
